WE HAD A LIVE GIG!!!!!! ON SATURDAY 5 JUNE 2021 AT NETTLEHAM VILLAGE HALL. AND, and , A RAFFLE. And the Hall has got some new comfier chairs.
AND IT WAS FANTASTIC Pete Morton
.....WHO I THINK ENJOYED IT AS MUCH AS WE DID
NEAR NORMALITY....LIVE MUSIC
All the doors open so lots of fresh air, as well as mask wearing when we moved around the venue
Some of our audience were discovering Pete for the first time...which is a "Wow...how did we miss you!" experience.
I am writing this listening to the CD:
GAME OF LIFE
Pete Morton with Full House
This is a CD of some of Pete's greatest hits. There are some very special songs on this CD, including 'Further' which is a song for our Lincolnshire. Please let us know if you want to buy this CD or his CD of his latest new songs if you can't find it on the internet.

This fabulous duo are getting well known in Lincoln, inside AND outside of folk music circles, as in 'Folk music??!!, Oh yes, those two sisters, I heard them in a pub, they were really good, is that what they are called?' Once you hear them, you will think as we do, that once known better outside Lincolnshire, they will go far.
THE MIRACLE CURE: Pip and Dan
Vocals and guitar
Not as well known as The Rye Sisters, these two busy medics give a delightful and entertaining performance and you will be asking us to book them again.

PLEASE, PLEASE READ THIS...IT DOES AFFECT YOU
now for the exciting bit for you to read through!!...yes, really. Unfortunately you can't just roll up as you usually do. Things are a bit different and initially as you come into the hall, it will look a bit different to you too, a bit empty for a start.....but it's still great to sit and hear and enjoy live music with other people.
'Virtual' just isn't the same!!! Well, that is what our last audience thought.
COVID SECURE or keeping you safe......when weather permits all doors are kept open, so please bring an extra cardi for cool evenings.
Working with Nettleham Village Hall committee and the national governing body for village halls ACRE and to comply with current government regulations:
1. The body count (!) is a maximum of forty-eight (counting us, the sound man, the artist(s)......so audience size can obviously slightly vary as a result.)
2. TICKET price is £12 as we have to finance our gigs on half our usual audience size.
3. A steward will be waiting outside the hall.
4. There will be four exits.
5. SOCIAL DISTANCING will be maintained.
You will sit in spaced rows, socially distanced, either singly or with one other person in your household or in your bubble.
Andy says this socially distanced seating makes the hall look like an examination hall, so initially that is a little bit off putting.....particularly because seating is at a TABLE.
6. There is NO BAR. Please bring your own refreshments.🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷. Paired seating has tables.
7. MASKS must be worn while entering the hall and when moving around in the hall and you will be reminded to use hand gel as you enter the building.
.....because we are all wearing masks as you come in we can't greet you with a smile...but it's in our eyes and we are right pleased to see you!
BUYING TICKETS 🎴🎴🎴🎴🎴🎴
Obviously with a maximum of forty people allowed, don't hang around....although we do keep a waiting list and we inevitably get a few last minute cancellations, which with this sized audience we are particularly anxious to fill, so we will take pains to contact you if you do end up on the waiting list.
Likewise if you find you can't come after ordering a ticket please let us know asap.
ALL tickets must be booked in advance by phoning Andy Watkins on 01522 535770 or emailing on email@example.com. and paid for one the door, with cash or a cheque made out to 'Lincoln Festival'. We do not have card facilities.
We continue to have to respond to the current situation by negotiating with artists re concert dates. All are most anxious to continue with our performance schedule. We will update any date changes as they occur.
WHAT IS COMING NEXT?
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 Some fantastic acts...yet again. Old ones you love, and new ones we think you will love.
Remember we never book artists unless we have seen them perform.
But please if you see an act you enjoy, let us know. We aim to please and we want to sell our concerts.
and we can't get everywhere.
