 WHY WE BOOKED THESE ARTISTS...

...we are looking for quality of musicianship and empathy with the audience….however much we love some artists, we have to believe our audience will too or else we know we can't sell them…

…we believe in giving a varied programme of content and artists, mainly showcasing folk music but interspersing that with some blues and roots.  Our programme reflects a balance between returning artists at audience requests and new artists that have not previously performed at Nettleham (or Faldingworth) and artists we don't necessarily like but you obviously do and have a high standard of musicianship!

OUR SUPPORT ARTISTS:

I thought it was time we said a bit more about them.  Usually from Lincolnshire we are very proud of them and grateful that they support us in the way they do.

I am going to start with:

Pete and Helen Wray
...who some people are beginning to say are worthy of a main artist slot...

HOMITY....who just get better and better with every performance...and they started out good!

...so that is the start and more to follow!

COMPERE
is now Sue Dewsbury (though very grateful to Tom Lane and Alan Ritson for filling in for us when we can't have a Sue).

She makes the evening go with a swing with her wit and repartee...and appreciation of the artists.

SOUND
is Pete Wray, who is a perfectionist, thank goodness.
